FRANKLINVILLE, N.Y. — Cornell Dairy Processing Bootcamp, in partnership with Great Lakes Cheese, eagerly announces their scheduled programming in Cattaraugus County from March 6 – March 7, 2024. Join them for a FREE immersive experience exploring one of the most robust and secure industries – New York State Dairy. Discover professional pathways and learn what happens once milk leaves the farm.
The Cornell Dairy Foods Extension experts and workforce specialists are ready to help you learn the foundations of cheese processing and discuss your employment trajectory. During the bootcamp you will sample delicious products, hear directly from employees about their experience working at a dairy plant, tour Great Lakes Cheese’s brand-new facility, and much more! In addition to the two-day live sessions, there is a self-paced online component to the bootcamp. Lunch will be provided for participants and there is a possibility of earning a stipend upon successful completion of the hybrid program.
If you are in Alleghany or Cattaraugus County and are curious about a career in food manufacturing, you are encouraged to attend. There are no qualifications or experience required, and registration is free.
