Fully-Automatic BASA Jogging System |
|
The Baumann BASA is the first fully automatic jogging system, offering cost savings, productivity increases, and improvements in automation and ergonomics.
BASA is the missing link in the field of automatic cutting, i.e., the cutting process with an operator. The Bauman paper jogger is capable of forming layers of printed sheets automatically, aligning them exactly and conveying them to the subsequent cutting process. It is particularly effective in combination with a modern rear table feeding system. The process of automatic jogging meets two important business requirements: cost saving and ergonomics. BASA is most effective when high production volumes have to be processed, when processing of large-format printing sheets is necessary, and when ergonomic restrictions demand an automatic jogging process.
Materials BASA Can Process
- All papers with a grammage of at least 60 g/m2
- Various types of label papers
- Cardboards up to a grammage of 300 g/m2
- Foils
- Plasticized materials
- Perforated and embossed paper and cardboard
Available Sizes
- BASA 3-6: for format sizes up to max. 1050 x 1450 mm
- BASA 7-8: for format sizes up to max. 1300 x 1850 mm
- BASA 10: for format sizes up to max. 1525 x 2050 mm
Modes of Operation
BASA, a paper jogging machine, is provided with two different modes of operation: automatic and manual.
During the automatic operation, BASA processes the arriving pile without any operator's assistance and provides the jogged and aligned layers in the desired height for further processing.
For critical materials and small issues BASA has been equipped with a manual mode of operation, working similar to a traditional jogging machine.
